praxis is the greek word for ‘action.’ its philosophical roots date back to aristotle who theorized that there were three basic human activities; theoria (theory), poiēsis (skillful manufacture), and praxis (action done for its own sake). ₁
praxis is "reflection and action upon the world in order to transform it.“₂
